Our Purpose

Our purpose is to help as many people as possible achieve their true health potential, without the use of drugs and unnecessary surgery. We aim to achieve this by educating people on what true health is, how to regain health through effective Oriental Medicine therapies such as Acupuncture, Herbs, Bodywork, Diet and Lifestyle counseling, and then finally, how to maintain health for life!

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is that the human body is innately designed to heal itself.  Our role is simply to help catalyze that process, to be a guide for each patient on their journey toward well being.  Rather than promoting fad diets or the latest health trends, we guide people in establishing healthy lifestyle patterns that will help them regain and maintain health.  Part of our general recommendations for everyone include emphasizing a diet of natural and unprocessed foods, regular exercise, drinking plenty of fresh water, getting sufficient restful sleep, an annual or biannual cleansing program to eliminate stored toxins, and engaging in a mental and physical stress reducing practice, whether that be tai chi, yoga, ai gong, meditation or a quiet walk in nature.

When imbalances occur in the body, sometimes lifestyle changes alone are not enough to restore balance.  That is when the modalities we practice such as Acupuncture, Herbs, Bodywork, and Dietary counseling can be utilized to speed up the healing process for a more powerful and direct effect on the organs, meridians, circulation and nervous system.   While we always aim to provide symptomatic relief, we are also dedicated to addressing the root cause of disease for longer lasting and more permanent results.
